Mathers Social Gathering: A Chic Experience in Orlando

I visited Mathers Social Gathering yesterday and overall, the atmosphere was lovely. The two servers who attended to us were excellent very attentive and friendly. The truffle popcorn we ordered was decent, though I’d rate it about 6/10. However, there was a serious issue that concerned me. The first glass I was given was cracked. I politely informed the server, who took it away, but then I noticed the bartender simply transferred the drink to another glass and used a flashlight to check for glass shards. This is not an acceptable practice it’s unsafe and unprofessional. I had to insist they remake the drink entirely. To make matters worse, my second drink came in a chipped glass, which further disappointed me. I asked to speak to the manager, who was made available, but they never came to address the issue in person. Glassware safety is a serious matter, and this is something the establishment needs to address immediately to avoid potential harm to guests. TL;DR: Great service and vibe, but the lack of attention to basic safety with damaged glassware was alarming. Management should take this seriously.

Marcello was an amazing bartender and so welcoming! The whole experience was so great and I will definitely be back and bringing my friends. I came with my best friend and it was a vibe. Classy, dark, delicious, and fun ! Highly recommend!

Great place to unwind and enjoy friends and family. Arrive early to get seating. We got here around 8 and by 9 was standing room only. The burlesque show was cool except best seating is front of house for sure as people begin to block the performance area (main walkway) making it hard to watch if your seated. Drinks are unique. They have a dress code which I was excited about (keeps the place elevated) but they it isn't strictly enforced. I beg the establishment to please revisit this. The dress code ensures a classier more mature crowd. Don't post something if you don't plan to enforce it. All in all I would go again. Oh bring cash to tip the Burlesque girls.

Wow!!! It’s our first time here and we are blown away by the service friendliness and amazing delicious drinks!!! Marcello was an amazing bartender and his drinks are delicious kept us longer than we would usually sit at a bar!!! I celebrated my 46th birthday at Mathers and also visited The Phoenix, and we had an absolutely amazing time! The atmosphere was perfect—stylish, comfortable, and exactly what we were hoping for. The food and drinks were great, and the service truly stood out. Natalia, Tim, Devon, and Maria went above and beyond to make sure my entire party of eight had everything we needed. Our drinks were never empty, and we felt genuinely taken care of the entire night. I would definitely go back again and highly recommend both spots for a memorable night out!

Great Speakeasy vibe, unique spot, and most importantly, tasty drinks! I visited over a month ago, during Christmas 2024. The decorations were absolutely stunning! The venue: It's set in a historic building and has a spacious layout. The décor blends vintage charm with a fun, mysterious touch, offering a mix of chairs and sofas. The only downside is it gets pretty crowded, so it’s not the best place for a long conversation. The drinks: I sampled all the drinks my friends ordered, and they were all amazing. I went for one of the two Christmas-themed drinks, and it was fantastic—definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. The service: This was where things took a bit of a turn. There weren’t enough waitstaff for the size of the crowd. We had to actively try to get the attention of the servers, while also standing in line to order at the bar… not the best experience. Parking: They don’t have a parking lot, but there’s street parking nearby. Final thoughts: Despite the service issues, the atmosphere and the drinks made the night worthwhile. I’ve heard people recommend coming during happy hour, so I’ll definitely return to give that a try.

Love this place. Prohibition Speakeasy? I’m in! The drinks are fantastic, the bartenders are so nice, and the decor is out of this world. I also love that ALL age groups go here, from college kids to people getting off of work to more mature age groups. It’s a really fantastic getaway from most of the other bars downtown Orlando. And safe. The security at the door saw me waiting for my uber and they asked me if I wanted to wait inside the doorway to be safer. Great people.

Mathers is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is classy, the cocktails are top-tier, and the service was amazing. It was our first time there, and they welcomed us with free shots—such a nice touch! Definitely a must-visit if you’re into quality drinks and great vibes.
